Rte. 122, Greenville - based on quilt square sewn by Doris McCurdy; block painted by Peterstown's Energy Express mentors; framed by Monroe County Technical Center students.  The Shrewsbery farm was previously owned by Billie M. (1920-1984) and Ruby Shanklin (1922-2005) McNeer.  They inherited the farm from his parents, William Elbert (1885-1974) and Cora Lee Baker (1885-1971) McNeer.  Ownership has been traced through the Baker family from Cora's father, Shannon Baker (1853-1920) to her grandfather, John H. Baker (1809-1898) and to her great-grandfather, Frederick Baker (1765-1830), who emigrated from Germany to America about 1783.  He made the original purchase of land in 1804.  Other parcels were added in 1815 and 1818.   TO SEE:  4 miles west of Greenville, at intersection of Baker Hill Rd. and Rte. 122.   GPS:  N37*33.517, W080*45.003
